I’m Mauro, an International UIAGM Mountain Guide. For years, I’ve followed my passion across the Alps, Patagonia, and the high peaks of the Karakorum. I’ve been living in Arco since 2001 — the same year I founded my mountaineering school as a way to share my love for the mountains with you. Description
In Arco, near Lake Garda, the Rio Sallagoni via ferrata is one of those outdoor experiences you have to try at least once, ideally with a local alpine guide.
The play of light and small waterfalls inside this hidden gorge creates a romantic and evocative atmosphere.
During the excursion, you’ll feel like you’re canyoning, but without getting wet: you’ll navigate the sides of the ravine, between steep walls, in a mystical and untamed setting.
Some exposed sections and the sometimes wide distances between the iron steps will test your strength and agility. The Tibetan bridge, suspended on ropes, will challenge your balance and courage.
You’re in for a short but intense route, climbing through a hidden canyon surrounded by rocky walls and shimmering light, leading you to the Castello di Drena.
This via ferrata is perfect for cooling off in the summer!
